Es por ello que el<strong>&nbsp;descubrimiento de un nuevo cometa siempre resulta sumamente revelador<\/strong>, pensar que un objeto desconocido ronda por nuestro Sistema Solar, roza en lo intrigante.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En pleno 2021, los astr\u00f3nomos siguen descubriendo nuevos pedazos de material c\u00f3smico que circundan nuestro sistema. Recientemente, el astr\u00f3nomo Gregory J Leonard se percat\u00f3 de la existencia de un&nbsp;<strong>nuevo cometa al que catalog\u00f3 como C\/2021 Al o cometa Leonard.<\/strong>&nbsp;El descubrimiento se dio el pasado 3 de enero en el&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/skycenter.arizona.edu\/\">Observatorio Infrarrojo Mount Lemmon<\/a>, en Arizona (EE.UU), ubicado en las monta\u00f1as de Santa Catalina, al noreste de Tucson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En primera instancia, el cometa parec\u00eda extremadamente d\u00e9bil. Un objeto de magnitud 16, aproximadamente 160 mil veces m\u00e1s tenue que las estrellas m\u00e1s d\u00e9biles que se pueden ver a simple vista. No obstante, para cuando se acerque a la \u00f3rbita de la Tierra a finales de 2021,&nbsp;<strong>su magnitud ser\u00e1 de magnitud cuatro o cinco<\/strong>.&nbsp;<strong>Lo que quiere decir que podr\u00eda ser visible a simple vista en el firmamento,<\/strong>&nbsp;m\u00e1s o menos similar a NEOWISE en 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" height=\"379\" width=\"696\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ecoosfera.com\/wp-content\/imagenes\/2021\/03\/sistema-solar.10-03-2021.cosmos-1024x558.jpg?resize=696%2C379&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"sistema solar\" class=\"wp-image-102058\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>El reci\u00e9n descubierto cometa Leonard, se vuelve m\u00e1s brillante conforme se acerca al Sol. Gracias a esto, se convertir\u00e1 en el objeto celeste m\u00e1s vibrante y que podremos observar su m\u00e1ximo esplendor.<strong>&nbsp;Actualmente su posici\u00f3n se encuentra entre las \u00f3rbitas de Marte y J\u00fapiter<\/strong>, pero se espera que se aproxime a su punto m\u00e1s cercano de la \u00f3rbita terrestre para el 12 de diciembre, cuando se coloque a unos 35 millones de kil\u00f3metros de distancia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" height=\"454\" width=\"696\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ecoosfera.com\/wp-content\/imagenes\/2021\/03\/descubren-nuevo-cometa.10-03-2021.cosmos-1024x668.jpg?resize=696%2C454&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"nuevo cometa\" class=\"wp-image-102060\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">El cometa Leonard dar\u00e1 un espect\u00e1culo nocturno<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Los astr\u00f3nomos a\u00fan no poseen mucha informaci\u00f3n sobre la composici\u00f3n del cometa Leonard, pero se sabe que cuenta con una cola larga y clara. Gracias a esto, el cometa se convertir\u00e1 en uno de los espect\u00e1culos astron\u00f3micos m\u00e1s vibrantes del a\u00f1o. No obstante, la luz solar podr\u00eda representar un impedimento para mirar su resplandecer, pero los astr\u00f3nomos se mantienen optimistas. El cometa ser\u00e1 visible<strong>&nbsp;a partir del mes de diciembre y hasta mediados, cuando alcance su punto m\u00e1ximo.<\/strong>&nbsp;Para observarlo hay que levantarse temprano, para mirarlo<strong>&nbsp;en el horizonte justo antes del amanecer.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" height=\"476\" width=\"696\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ecoosfera.com\/wp-content\/imagenes\/2021\/03\/nuevo-cometa.descubierto.10-03-2021.cosmos-1024x701.jpg?resize=696%2C476&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"nuevo cometa Leonard\" class=\"wp-image-102059\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>El cometa se mueve r\u00e1pidamente, viaja a 254,399 kil\u00f3metros por hora en relaci\u00f3n con la tierra, es decir, a unos 70.6 kil\u00f3metros por segundo. Tambi\u00e9n se sabe que tiene una \u00f3rbita hiperb\u00f3lica, lo que significa que<strong>\u00a0una vez que alcance a nuestra estrella solar, ser\u00e1 expulsado para siempre del Sistema
